Job description:

PreVeil is seeking a results-driven compliance specialist to implement and develop regulatory compliance strategies. The selected candidate will work directly with the Compliance Officer to review documentation and procedures, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on compliance-related issues, and work on any compliance related tasks and projects as assigned.
 
To ensure success as a compliance specialist, the selected candidate should exhibit experience in NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53 , and/or CMMC, compliance coordination and in-depth DoD related industry knowledge. The selected candidate should have exceptional verbal, written and documentation skills.
 

Position Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working with the Compliance Officer to ensure the completion of all compliance related programs and projects both internally and externally
  • Interviewing executives, managers, and employees, as needed, to determine compliance-related priorities
  • Reviewing documentation, processes, and practices, both internally and externally
  • Assisting in the development and enacting of internal and external compliance strategies including, but not limited to: SOC-2 and FedRAMP Rev 5
  • Assisting in coordinating compliance procedures across organizational structures
  • Providing training in compliance practices and procedures, as necessary
  • Risk management and training duties, as assigned
  • Monitoring compliance and facilitating interventions to manage risks
  • Documenting compliance-related processes and maintaining records, as well as updating current processes and procedures, as needed
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory changes and developments in the regulatory environment

Required qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of compliance or regulatory documentation experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where requirements and tasks may shift quickly
  • Exceptional analytical, investigative, and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team setting
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • CMMC related training/certification
  • NIST 800-171 related training/certification
  • Prior compliance and/or regulatory position
  • Prior startup experience
  • SaaS or cloud experience
