With more than 37 years of experience at United Technologies Corporation, a world leader in the design, manufacture and service of commercial and military aircraft engines and industrial gas turbines, Volz recently retired as vice president and CIO of Pratt & Whitney, a unit of United Technologies. Volz was responsible for IT strategy, operations and investments for Pratt & Whitney’s global business, and ensured that the company implemented a secure, reliable, and cost-effective global IT infrastructure with strong IT strategies and robust applications. He held several senior leadership positions at Pratt & Whitney and United Technologies Corporate, and also led Hamilton Sundstrand’s IT organization as vice president and CIO.
